Although Carlos Vela decided to retire from Mexico National Team after being absent from El Tri for almost four years, Javier “Chicharito” Hernández, another player erased by Gerardo “Tata” Martino, hasn’t given up on hope of returning to El Tri.

If Larcamón replaces Martino, this player will return to El Tri

Reports suggest that “Chicharito” Hernández already had conversations with “Tata” Martino in order to know his possibilities of returning to El Tri, given that he’s having one of the best moments of his career in recent years and the lack of goals the Aztec squad has showed on their last games.

“Tata” Martino is open to call Hernández again, as he knows having a striker who’s on a streak could benefit El Tri, especially on the next FIFA match window, when the Aztecs will face USMNT. But in order to open a spot in El Tri’s roster, Martino will have to leave out someone.

Who will be the player sacrificed to open a spot for “Chicharito”?

The player that will miss the upcoming CONCACAF Qualifiers in case that “Chicharito” returns to El Tri -Martino requested that he publicly apologize for the scandal he was involved in 2019-, will be his teammate in LA Galaxy, Julián Araujo, as he knows he’ll have more opportunities in the future.
