Gerardo Martino had a terrible job in the Mexican National Team, the coach could not qualify the team to the round of 16 of the World Cup in Qatar 2022. This was a great failure for Mexico and the Argentinian was wrong to bring players with low performance.

Now the coach spoke for the Tommy Argüelles podcast and gave the MX League a hard blow by pointing out that MLS is better and works with the players to give them a great projection and they can play in Europe.

"In what is happening, one sees that there is a league very close like the MLS, where soccer players migrate to Europe and have them play in the best teams in the best Leagues in Europe," said Gerardo Martino.

Martino sees that Mexican soccer is not able to sell their players to European clubs, this is because the League prevents soccer players from leaving by putting them at a high price.

“The Mexican market has soccer players that are worth eight, ten or twelve million dollars in the domestic market and those same soccer players have no outlet abroad. The value here is one and abroad does not exist”, commented Gerardo Martino.

Gerardo Martino's performance

Gerardo Martino worked for more than three years with the Mexican National Team, his process will be remembered as one of the worst in the team's history. The coach had bad results and did not help the players to have a better performance.
