Carlos Vela is getting ready for the 2022 MLS Season with Los Angeles FC, as they are set to receive Colorado Rapids for the season opener on February 26, where he’ll be part of LAFC for the fifth straight season after he became the first player on their roster.
This player is going to be one of the best strikers in the world, but Martino ignores him
But even if he’s currently focused on his club, the 32-year-old right-winger hasn’t closed the doors to an eventual return to Mexico National Team, even if he hasn’t played a game wearing El Tri colors since the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
And after knowing that Gerardo Martino might have his days counted as El Tri coach, Vela will gladly return to the Aztec team as soon as the Mexican Football Federation decides who is going to replace the Argentinian coach.
Carlos Vela knows that Jaime “Jimmy” Lozano will open a lot of doors for young players but will also call again talented footballers that Martino has erased from the current roster, as Lozano knows what El Tri needs to succeed in the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
As most of the people in LA, Carlos Vela is focused in the Super Bowl, at least for this week
