Javier Aguirre decided to take precautions to close the Club World Cup in a decorous manner. On the last day of work in Asia, the team fielded a five-man lineup to face the local team, Al Jazira.

Esteban Andrada was in goal, while the wingers were Erick Aguirre and Jesús Gallardo, leaving Cesar Montes, Héctor Moreno and Stefan Medina in central defense.

Matías Kranevitter was the defensive midfielder, while Luis Romo and Alfonso González were the inside midfielders. Maximiliano Meza and Rogelio Funes Mori were left up front.

Monterrey knows that if they lose to Al Jazira, a change of coach is a guaranteed situation, so they will be looking to defend at the back in order to advance on the wings.

Monterrey News:

After the elimination of Rayados in the Club World Cup at the hands of Al-Ahly of Egypt, Monterrey's coach, Javier Aguirre, has had a difficult time after his team arrived at the Club World Cup as favorites, given the significant investment received by the Monterrey team, and ended up joining the list of Mexican teams that were eliminated in the first round.

Given the frustration in Monterrey's environment due to the lack of results, a sector of the fans protested both in the United Arab Emirates by blocking the team's bus and in Mexico by placing banners protesting against the board of directors and Javier Aguirre.

Monterrey has the most expensive roster in Mexican soccer at 85 million euros, with a national team player in each position. If they do not win against Al Jazira, Javier could leave the team.
