Jamal Musiala was one of the best players at the EUROS in Germany, as he was the top goalscorer for the German national team in the tournament. He scored three goals for Germany at the EUROS and was one of the best players to watch. Germany and Musiala were knocked out of EURO 2024 by Spain in the quarterfinals after losing 2-1 in extra time. Despite not winning the tournament, Musiala is now even more regarded as one of the best players in the world. The German has a special ability to dribble past players and he named the player that he idolized when he was young. Musiala said, "I always loved Neymar, Santos Neymar, Barca Neymar. Any Neymar, really." The body feints that Musiala often does on the pitch are similar to what Lionel Messi does, but the German attacking midfielder still applies elements from Neymar's game to his game whenever he plays for Germany or Bayern Munich.

Germany won three out of five matches in the EUROS. Germany started off the competition amazingly after defeating Scotland 5-1 in the opener. Musiala scored the second goal of the tournament. In the second match of the group stage, Germany defeated Hungary 2-0, where Musiala scored the opener of the match. In the final game of their group, Germany drew 1-1 against Switzerland but still finished first with seven points. Musiala was leading the table as the top goal-scorer of the tournament.

Musiala and Germany advanced to the knockout stages of the competition and faced Denmark in the Round of 16. Musiala scored 2-0 in Germany over Denmark, and Musiala scored the second goal to seal the win. Their journey ended for them against Spain, but Musiala got to play every match and start in them as well. The Bayern Munich star was arguably Germany's best player this tournament.

Musiala vs Neymar

Musiala has called against Neymar in the past, as Bayern Munich took on PSG in the Champions League last year in the Round of 16. Musiala was a key player for Bayern, and they defeated PSG 3-0 on aggregate. It was an honor for Musiala to face Neymar on the same pitch and got to meet him afterwards as well.
