It is sure that Zinedine Zidane will want to strengthen Real Madrid’s squad in this winter transfer market, and in the upcoming summer’s one too. The French coach has a couple of names in his mind, but of course, it will not be an easy task.

The Spanish White House is looking for new options and the shirts are already to be printed. But first things first: Real Madrid is desperately trying to keep Sergio Ramos in the squad. The center back’s contract ends on June 30, so he is likely to leave as a free agent ending a wonderful 15-year-spell in the team.

Therefore, if a name like Ramos leaves, they will have to choose another option. Another free agent could be on the cards: it is possible that David Alaba signs a four-year contract for next season with a reported €11 million per year, representing an investment of €44 million, approximately $53 million.

But the Bayern München defender is not the only target: Villarreal’s large defender Pau Torres could be another possibility. Should that be the case, his transfer market price is surrounding €50 million ($60.5 million), plus €5 million ($6.05 million) per year of salary in a four-year contract.
