Because who we are talking about is a player who in the important moments of Real Madrid has been four times European champion, with decisive participation in the finals of 2014, 2016, and 2018.

You have to call a spade a spade and what is happening at the moment between the player and the team's coach, Carlo Ancelotti has a name: lack of interest. 

And specifically lack of interest in the player on the part of the coach, since it is more than evident that for Ancelotti, Bale is not and has never been an option in his game plan.

The Welshman's contract with Los Merengues is due to expire at the end of the current La Liga season, which is in May 2022 and if Wales fails to secure their ticket to attend the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the star would contemplate retirement.

So Madrid is about to lose a player they paid almost £100 million for and could get absolutely nothing for him. 

And renewing his contract seems almost impossible given that the player is not in Ancelotti's plans, even though he is not currently suffering from any injuries, which have kept him off the pitch for many days during his time at Real Madrid. 

Gareth Bale's future is a mystery

If he remains without playing time at Real Madrid and his contract is not renewed, it seems that the player's destiny is to leave the Merengue team as a free agent.

And as already reported, if Wales does not go to the World Cup, we are likely seeing the last months of the career of a player who was once considered Madrid's secret weapon. 

After all, the memory is still fresh of that Copa del Rey final on April 16, 2014, when Bale received a pass and despite Marc Bartra trying to push him off the field, the Welshman used his speed and left the Spaniard far behind, as a mere witness to the epic goal he scored that day.
