Luis Suarez signed on a free transfer from Barcelona when 2020-2021 season was starting an immediately Diego Costa had to leave. relegated out from the first team he has ended his contract with the club a few days ago and is now a free agent. While the people around him tried unsuccessfully to move him to France, another door could open for him soon.

Recently his agents had contacts with Olympique Marseille, from French Ligue 1, but his alleged $8 million per year salary was an extremely high target for the club. But now, the English Premier League, where he has already been successful, could be the light at the end of the tunnel for the striker.

As per Mundo Deportivo, Arsenal FC could welcome him onboard. “He’d bring lots of personality to the squad, he just wants to win games. If his team-mates do not do well, he will shout at them to cheer them up, and that’s truly positive”, said former Arsenal and Chelsea defender William Gallas.

Arsenal FC’s coach Mikel Arteta could find an interesting option in Diego Costa to partner him with Alexander Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or Gabriel Martinelli. Should Costa sign for Arsenal, he’ll be in his second spell in England. He played four seasons in Chelsea, being acquired from Atlético de Madrid for €38 million and resold to the club in €60 million in 2018.
