Why did Manchester City's Twitter account disappear this Wednesday?

Something happened this morning regarding Manchester City Twitter account. Many fans reported that the user @ManCity that corresponds to the club was not figuring in the social media on Wednesday morning. Many of them tweeted about and asking what was going on.

Hopefully for the club, the account magically appeared hours later and it's still a mystery to know what concretely occurred. Some report that for sure it was not a hack, but a Twitter mistake while adjusting some tasks of their platform. The problem was solved and the message that showed that the account doesn't exist was no longer able to see.

Even though there were no official statement from Manchester City regarding this confusing episode, everything went back to normal. The club account is very popular and Twitter and has 8.5 million followers, being the fifth more followed in the Premier League and the 10th in the whole world.
