LAFC was eliminated from the MLS Cup Playoffs after being defeated by Seattle Sounders on the first round. Carlos Vela played the game in which he gave an assist a missed a penalty, and ended frustrated after another year in which he won’t be ending the season as a champion.
As U.S. press report these days, Vela is seriously thinking on leaving after a new failure. The Mexican idol arrived to LAFC two years ago and, even though he is still happy to live in the city and is clearly comfortable, the lack of sporting competitive of his team is making him doubt about his stay.
The decision from Vela may be arriving soon, as there are always many clubs interested in signing a player with such conditions. But if he leaves LAFC then the MLS side will have to look for a replacement to his greatest star and that could be Javier Eduardo López, known as Chofis.
The playmaker was axed from Chivas recently after committing some undisciplined acts but, when he was in the field, he always showed his good conditions. Maybe at the U.S. he can control himself and give his best in every game, being a good replacement for his compatriot. To add, Chivas won’t ask much money for him, as he is in the transferable list.
