He was the new Lionel Messi, he played for FC Barcelona and now he ended as a free agent at the MLS

Lionel Messi was supposed to have many successors during his professional career. The Argentinian idol is at the end of an incredible career and there were many head coaches that tried to form his new version for the future. But with such a talent it wasn’t easy to equalize him.

One of those players who was supposed to follow the steps from Messi was Bojan Krkic. The Spanish attacker was as well-formed at La Masía and, when a youth, it was said that he was going to have a great talent, as the one of Messi. But at the end, things advanced in another way.

Bojan left Barcelona on July 2011 to play at Roma and, since then, he became a soccer globetrotter. AC Milan, Ajax, Stoke City, Maguncia, Deportivo Alavés and Montreal Impact where the clubs in which the forward played during his career.

At the age of 30, Bojan doesn’t know yet where he will be playing next season. Montreal Impact decided not to make the option of the clause that they had to purchase him, and the attacker will be a free agent on December 31. His future is still a mystery, as the talent who was supposed to replace Messi is now without club.
