While Mbappe wants Real Madrid, PSG gives update that disappoints Madrid fans

Many reports today have suggested that Kylian Mbappe finally decided to go to Real Madrid next season. Le Parisien reported that Mbappe will join Real Madrid after the end of this season, and the Spanish giants are close to signing a deal for the French star.

Mbappe might be able to join the club this time because of an overhaul in the Real Madrid squad. Players like Luka Modric and Toni Kroos could be leaving the club for free in the summer. Both Modric's and Kroos’s wages are very high, and the club could save more than 40 million euros from the wage bill. Real Madrid has also announced a new sponsorship with American company HP. The deal could help reach over 200 million euros just from sponsorships alone.

The club could make more than 1 billion euros a year starting next season. The new Santiago Bernabeu can also help Madrid generate lots of money for the club. As the club increases earnings, the likelihood of signing Mbappe increases. Mbappe is closer than ever to Real Madrid as the player is close to making his final decision. There may be another bump in the road as new reports suggest that PSG knows nothing about a Mbappe decision to Real Madrid.

PSG came back and said Mbappe has yet to tell the club that he wants to leave for Real Madrid

Ben Jacobs and RMC Sport report that PSG has no knowledge of any Kylian Mbappe decision yet. Part of his agreement with the club is that Mbappe has pledged to tell PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi first. There is no doubt that Real Madrid is pushing hard or that Mbappe wants to resolve his future now the window is shut. But French champions are not informed of anything as of now.
