After Xavi's announcement of leaving FC Barcelona on June 30th, Barca president Joan Laporta has to find an ideal replacement to coach the team next season. Many names have been linked to the Barca job, including Jurgen Klopp, who also announced leaving managerial duties at the end of this season. With Klopp's desire to take a one-year break from football, Laporta will have to seek other managers in the market to join Barcelona.

Joan Laporta and Deco are reportedly trying to convince Klopp to change his mind about taking a break and becoming the new manager of Barcelona this summer. Another German name that Laporta is looking at is Julian Nageslmann. Nagelsmann was appointed to a short-term deal with the German national team until after the 2024 Euros. After the summer tournament, Nagelsmann will be out of contract and could be brought in for free.
Thomas Tuchel has become an option for FC Barcelona after saying he finds the Spanish League appealing. Tuchel said, "Moving abroad would appeal to me again. Spain has an extraordinary league. From my perspective, and based on my experience working with Spaniards, they are characterized by a tremendous amount of self-confidence. When you speak with Spanish players, I quickly get the sense that you are engaging with the person.“ Tuchel is currently the Bayern Munich manager and has a contract that runs until the summer of 2025.

Bild reports that Laporta is pushing for Hansi Flick to replace Xavi. Flick is a major candidate like Jurgen Klopp, and the manager is tempted to join another league. Flick is notorious for winning the Champions League with Bayern Munich in the 2019/2020 season, which includes the famous 8-2 quarter-final victory over FC Barcelona.
