In Inter Miami's first friendly, the team went to El Salvador to play the El Salvador national team. The game ended 0-0, and Messi only played the first half. The team's manager, Gerardo Martino, did mention rotating the players a lot during the preseason tour. Suarez, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets also played the first half and were subbed off for the second half.

In Inter Miami's second friendly, Messi's team lost 1-0 to FC Dallas in the Cotton Bowl stadium. Inter Miami conceded very early in the game courtesy of a Jesus Ferreira goal in the third minute. Messi and Suarez had chances to score, but the FC Dallas keeper, Maarten Paes, made a great save to deny the Argentinian. Messi and Suarez only played for 64 minutes of the game until being subbed off.

Now in Saudi Arabia, the team will look to get their first win of the preseason against Al Hilal on Monday. Both games against Al Hilal and Al Nassr will be played in the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh. Many football fans are looking forward to Inter Miami playing Al Nassr because of the clash between Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo had a recent injury that caused Al Nassr to cancel a China tour and was at risk of missing the Inter-Miami game as well. Ronaldo has yet to confirm how long he will be out but recent photos suggest he could be back.
