Liverpool is beating Southampton 1-0 at Anfield in the FA Cup. Liverpool started poorly at the back when they conceded a disallowed goal. In only 20 seconds of the game, Southampton grabbed a goal, but the linesman quickly disallowed it. Liverpool had a shaky start in the defense, but they brought the intensity after the disallowed goal from the Saints.

Southampton looked like the better team as in the 5th minute, they came close again. Edozie intercepted the pass into Clark and bounced to Aribo. Aribo makes a great run to the edge of the box and lays it off to Sulemana on the left. Sulemana drills his low shot against the far post as Kelleher is beaten.
Southampton had another chance a minute late when Edozie got a shot quickly, but his standing foot got in the way. Liverpool struggled to get a shot on target the whole game until Harvey Elliott took a long-range shot that was saved by Lumley, who sent it for a corner kick.

Late in the first half, Bobby Clark makes a great run in the midfield and passes the ball to young Liverpool striker Lewis Koumas. Koumas takes a touch and takes a shot that gets slightly deflected by a Southampton player. The ball rolls in the bottom left corner with the Southampton keeper beaten. The goal arrived in the 44th minute, with Liverpool scoring with their second shot on target.
