FC Barcelona will be planning to move out some players this upcoming summer transfer window as they need to make sales in order to make signings. The Catalan club wants to make signings this summer for their new manager, Hansi Flick, and now they will check which players will have to go. Deportes Cuarto reports that there are two offers from Saudi Arabia for Lenglet, but the player prefers to stay in Europe. FC Barcelona does not want to loan him again, as the French defender was loaned out to Aston Villa this past season. Lenglet was also loaned out to Tottenham Hotspur two years ago, but it was not a success as well. The club wants to sell the 28-year-old center back.

Lenglet joined FC Barcelona in the summer of 2018 for around $35 million from Sevilla. The defender did not find success with Barcelona over the years, and then a move to Tottenham seemed to be a potential good decision. It didn’t work out, and then a move to Aston Villa also didn’t see the defender find a consistent run of games. This season, Lenglet played a total of 25 matches across all competitions for Aston Villa, for which he provided one assist.

The player is currently valued at around $10 million, but the Saudi clubs may offer more in order to sign the player permanently. FC Barcelona may want to get their money back and sell him for around $35 million if the Saudi clubs battle against each other for the player. Lenglet wants to stay in Europe, but if the player can’t find a club to join, a big salary rise could convince the player to join the biggest clubs in Saudi Arabia, like Al Nassr, Al Hilal, Al Ahli, and Al Ittihad. FC Barcelona is fed up with Clement Lenglet. Offering him the letter of freedom is not ruled out.

FC Barcelona is not linked to a center-back

FC Barcelona wants to sign players this summer, and if they sell Lenglet this summer, a center-back is not their main priority. The Catalan club is interested in a defensive midfielder and an attacker for next season. Some of the names that are interesting are Luis Diaz, Guido Rodriguez, Nico Williams, and Thiago Alcantara.
