Although the Italian feels confident in his team against Barca, he refuses to believe them being the game's favorites. Ancelotti says, "If we're the favorite tomorrow? No favourite in El Clásico. The little details will decide this game. It's always special to prepare a game vs Barcelona. It will be a good game. Of course we are also worried, these are difficult games. We will try to do our best."

Ancelotti goes on to praise his players for their performances against Atletico Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup semifinal, where they went on to get a crazy 5-3 game. Carlo Ancelotti believes Ferland Mendy to be the best left-back in the world

One player who has seen little action this season due to injuries is Real Madrid left-back Ferland Mendy. The French defender has played only ten league games for Los Blancos and 15 games in all competitions. He only started in 11 games in all competitions. Despite the low run of games, Ancelotti makes a bold statement, saying the player is the best in the world in his position.

Ancelotti says, "Ferland Mendy? He's the best defensive LB in the world for me. He can still improve attacking wise but when he's fit he's the best defensively."

Mendy scored a goal against Atletico Madrid in the semifinal as Dani Carvajal assisted him with a great pass in the box. He also won all ground and aerial duels with four ball recoveries. Many anticipate Ancelotti will start the French left-back against Barca in the final on Sunday.
