Xabi Alonso is tipped to take the reins at Liverpool rather than accept an offer from Bayern Munich for next season. According to reports from Santi Aouna, the Spanish coach has been in positive contact with the Anfield club, and his desire to join the Reds appears stronger than ever.

Despite Bayern's interest, Alonso seems to be more inclined towards the Premier League and the challenge of managing Liverpool. Liverpool are in the midst of a search for a new manager to succeed Jürgen Klopp, who will step down at the end of the season after nine successful years.
Alonso has emerged as one of the leading candidates due to his outstanding work in charge of Bayer Leverkusen this season. The German side lead the Bundesliga above Bayern Munich themselves and are in the last 16 of the UEFA Europa League, which has highlighted Alonso's ability as a tactician.

The opportunity to manage in the Premier League and the attractiveness of the project at Anfield appear to be determining factors in Alonso's decision.
