Lionel Messi has given several life lessons to a young Kylian Mbappe over the past few days. He's spoken highly of the French striker while he's had some belittling attitudes towards the argentine. He's enhanced his traits while Mbappe continues to whine about PSG.

Mbappe's teammates have been reluctant to talk about the frenchman while Messi's teammates have been open and honest about the argentine. It seems like these two national teams live through different times. While France falls against Denmark, Argentina shines against Honduras.

It's precisely Messi's teammates who have confirmed how Lio behaves with them in the national team. Argentine press has always been harsh on Lionel Messi, and these past years were more of the same until Argentina won Copa América and ‘Finalissima’.

Now Lio's teammates spoken both to defend the Argentine from Mbappe's claws and to enhance Messi's figure. The latest spokesman to come forward is Emiliano ‘Dibu’ Martinez. Argentina's goalkeeper stated that ‘Messi is a very humble guy. I come stressed and with a lot of pressure and he makes things feel like a vacation with friends’.

Messi's image vs Mbappes downfall

Lionel Messi has had a tremendous increase in his popularity over the last few years. Although he's tried to stay out of controversies, they seem to follow his starlike gaze, still he's not affected by them. He's brought 700 million euros and more than 15 million followers to PSG since his arrival and has enhanced their soccer and their image. Mbappe is the absolute opposite. He's costed PSG short of 200 million euros, he's taken blows from the French press and his former PSG teammates and has openly defied Messi and Neymar on multiple ocassions.
