As the battle of rivalry between two Superstars, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi wind down, Cristiano has set another record at the 2022 FIFA World cup in Qatar. Messi had scored for Argentina against lowly rated Saudi Arabia but was on the loosing side. Portugal is beating Ghana 3-1 at the time Cristiano taken off in closing minutes of the encounter in Qatar.

Before leaving the pitch, Cristiano had the ball in the net in the first half, only to be denied by the whistle for a foul. He however, got a chance to break the deadlock from the spot and calmly slotted it in to set a record as the first player to score in five world cup editions, to the delight of Portuguese and his global fans.

Ronaldo rise to occassion

Portugal had been knocking on Ghana's door for goals but was denied until a penalty was given to break the deadlock. No need to guess the penalty taker as Ctristiano dealt with it expertly, a big player for big occassion. Celebrating his goal in ‘siu style’ the superstar however celebrated in front a Messi's image to the amusement of many spectators. Who cares?
