When and against whom will Lionel Messi's Inter Miami play in the quarterfinals of the Leagues Cup

Lionel Messi shone again with Inter Miami and qualified them to the quarterfinals when the match seemed totally lost. Inter Miami were losing 4-2 in the second half, but Messi's magic appeared to generate a goal against and, later, score a great goal from a free kick late in the match. Later in penalties, they ended up imposing 5-3 and therefor advancing to the next round.

Inter Miami and Lionel Messi will be waiting for today's Leagues Cup, as their rival in the quarterfinals will be the winner of the match between Charlotte FC and Houston Dynamo. The quarterfinal match will be played this Friday, August 11, at the DRV PNK Stadium, home of Inter Miami.

Inter Miami is the favorite team to win the Leagues Cup, but it will not be an easy task, since LAFC are also the big favorites, with the great level of Carlos Vela, who could be in one of his last seasons with LAFC. The other two main favorites are Monterrey and America, from Mexico.
