Neymar has finally responded to all the critics regarding his move to Saudi Arabia.

Neymar's move to Saudi Arabia has surprised many, while others expected it. The Brazilian holds the record for the most expensive transfer in history, as in 2017, Paris Saint-Germain paid €222 million to FC Barcelona for his transfer.

Nevertheless, despite Neymar maintaining his quality as a player, he was never able to achieve a major international title with PSG. In recent seasons, his lack of motivation in Paris became increasingly evident. For many, the former Barcelona player had the level required to join another big European team and seek a fresh start. A return to Spain seemed complicated due to past legal conflicts between Barca and him.

Following in the footsteps of other stars, Neymar found in Saudi Arabia a place away from the limelight and pressure, where he could enjoy playing football while earning astonishing sums of money. Al Hilal paid PSG €90 million and a deal for two seasons, with a salary that could reach up to $24,000 per day, according to Bloomberg Línea.

The business model of the Saudi Pro League, which has gained popularity thanks to players like Cristiano Ronaldo, has piqued the interest of many soccer stars. Neymar clearly wasn't an exception, and he is well aware of it. However, his transfer has faced criticism, and many have been waiting for a response from him. Finally, after almost a month since his arrival in the Middle East, Neymar has spoken out.

Neymar's response

During a press conference with the Brazilian national team, the player stated: "Those who try to belittle the Saudi League will start following it very soon, believe me when I say that the league is very strong." he said. He also asserted that the signings in the Saudi Pro League could be even better than those in Ligue 1.
