The brazilian Pepê opened the scoring for the portuguese Dragons, while João Cancelo tied it after a minute and then it was the Portuguese João Félix who turned the matter in favor of the Spanish team.

The Portuguese team was not afraid to face the powerful Barça of Xavi Hernández who wants to regain prominence at the European level but in their own home and Pepê, who had opened the scoring in the 29th minute of the match, struck the first blow. However, the Blaugranas tied the match with a score by João Cancelo in the 31st minute, a defender of the local team, with a past in SL Benfica. Meanwhile, João Félix, another former Benfica player, scored the second goal for Barça.
In the 56th minute, the Portuguese star put Barcelona ahead in a key duel for the lead in Group H of the UEFA Champions League, which assured them qualification for the round of 16 of Europe's top competition. However, although coach Xavi Hernández was expected to react with euphoria to a moment of that magnitude, the coach of the culés simply limited himself to applauding his team's actions.
