According to a report Manchester United coach Erik Ten Hag has had 'clashes' with the club's board over the transfer of Frenkie de Jong or Jude Bellingham. The report claims that Ten Hag is keen on signing the Barcelona star Red Devils board and is only willing to make a move for the English midfielder. De Jong is reportedly seen as the more likely of the two to be sold, with Barcelona still having a financial crisis.

They even got a 60 million offer accepted during the summer but the ex-Ajax player insisted on staying at Camp Nou and in the end, he did. On the other hand, Ten Hag is said to be reluctant to make a move for Bellingham, who has been in excellent form for Borussia Dortmund this season. This might be the first clash between the board and the new manager, who just arrived last summer.

So far Erik ten Hag has overseen a period of transition, with the English giants trying to get back on top of the Premier League after a horrific season that left them out of the UEFA Champions League. Now, it seems, he is at loggerheads with the Manchester United board over transfer policy.

Tough decisions ahead, who will Man Utd bid for?

Erik ten Hag is still eager to get Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona and he insists to bid for him again for about  60 million euros. Some members are said to be in favor of signing Bellingham for more than 100 million euros. However, it remains to be seen if the club will be able to agree on a target in the next transfer window.
