The Catalan club keeps adding up the injuries and are worried about the upcoming matches

Yesterday it was Koundé and Depay, now there are three more additions to the list of injured players that FC Barcelona have to treat and recover before they face their next matches. Xavi's team, has had a rough start to the international break as he's seen how his most important players are injured and he's left with few to none alternatives.

Uruguay and Iran were set to play a friendly match in which many players that started were not regulars. Xavi's bad karma kicked in as one of the few players that are starters both in his team and their national team got injured. We're talking about Ronald Araujo. The uruguayan defender is a regular starter for Hernande's Barcelona alongside Jules Koundé.

Xavi's desperate measure for Lionel Messi to return to Barcelona is now revealed

Araujo lasted 40 seconds on the pitch and had to be taken out because of an injury. But the bad news don't stop there, as reports from France state that Ousmane Dembelé is also injured and might have to return to Barcelona alongside Koundé who's already landed in Spain.

Now the injuries for Xavi are starting to add up and his game plan is starting to look a lot weaker than he anticipated. Barcelona have had some extra signings this scenario, but thins are not looking good for the Catalan club as the last addition to this list came to light: Frenkie De Jong.

Xavi Hernandes and his alternatives to face Madrid

Pending evolution, Xavi now has 5 injuries to deal with and needs to look for alternatives. In the midfield, the perfect alternatives for the Spanish manager are Gavi, Pedri and Busquets, who are actually the starters on his team. They could be injured as all 3 of them are going to play the Nations League for Spain. In defense, Xavi has Eric García, Piqué or Christensen to replace Araujo and Koundé. As for the attack, Dembelé's replacement can be Ansu Fati or Ferrán Torres.
