There will be a lot of talk about Leo Messi's future in the coming months. His contract with PSG will expire at season end and because FC Barcelona has already made it clear that it wants him to return to the team where he became legend.
Although Leo Messi is very involved in the start of the season and the next World Cup. It doesn't look like he will make any decision in either direction before Qatar 2022 next November.
Why Neymar, Messi or Mbappé could be left out of PSG's starting lineup
The incredible private plane of Lionel Messi, how much did he spend on it
It seems that PSG's intention is to offer him a renewal, but they have not yet done so. Joan Laporta, Barcelona’s president, seems to want to build bridges with Messi but has not yet done so either, leaving Messi’s future in the air for the time being.
Since Inter Miami arrived to compete in Major League Soccer (MLS), its owners, led by English star David Beckham, have indicated that one of their ambitions is to sign world soccer star Lionel Messi, who played for Argentina's national team with current Inter player Gonzalo Higuaín.
So it seems that Messi would have three options when his contract with PSG runs out in less than a year. Renew with the Parisian side, return to Barcelona, or emigrate to the United States to play for Inter Miami. Although it is possible that other doors may open for Leo at the end of the season, the soccer world holds its breath as his decision remains to be seen.
