Neymar and Messi are more than partners, they are very good friends. They have shown affection for each other on countless occasions through their social networks and have been seen together at parties or family celebrations. What they do not know is that this friendship is defying fate.

And, in addition, the good friendship that they carry off the field inevitably moves on the field, where both stars have proven to be a very good duo. First at Barcelona, where, along with Luis Suárez, they formed a fearsome trident known as MSN. Currently, PSG is the team that has them as partners.

However, what they don't know (or simply overlook) is that they weren't meant to carry on such a good relationship. From their birth it seemed they were marked to be permanently at loggerheads, whether on the pitch, or even in tabloid-pleasing media wars.

Far from it, even when they have faced each other, they have shown loyalty to each other, companionship, respect and honor. As a clear example we can put the final of the Copa America 2021, in which Messi winner gave a sincere and effusive embrace with Neymar defeated, and that was captured by cameras around the world.

What is the reason why they were forbidden to be friends?

The fact that they were born where they were born, Lio in Argentina and Neymar in Brazil, predestined them to be rivals to the death. For decades, both nations have been pitting their greatest soccer exponents against each other (Pele vs. Maradona, Batistuta vs. Ronaldo, etc.) to see who is better. But these two have changed history.
