Last Sunday, Chelsea experienced a painful loss against West Ham United. Mauricio Pochettino's team seemed out of sight on the pitch and ended up losing in London with a score of 3-1.

Among those who faced criticism were Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez, both players who arrived at Stamford Bridge with staggering record-breaking transfer fees. Moreover, the English press has raised questions about the price tag attached to Caicedo and whether the Ecuadorian is truly worth the €130 million that the club invested in him.

Furthermore, during the 20 minutes that the midfielder was on the field, he appeared to be out of rhythm. Later on, he gave a penalty away causing his team to fall behind on the scoreboard.

What did Pochettino say?

Regarding this incident, boss Mauricio Pochettino expressed his thoughts in press conference, stating that Caicedo must be equally disappointed as everyone else. However, he also mentioned that the 21-year-old player will be a significant asset to the team. The Argentine manager has the confidence that Caicedo will regain the level of performance he displayed at Brighton and contribute as much as possible.
