Lionel Messi once again proved beyond reasonable doubt that he is one of the greatest soccer player of all time during Argentina 2-0 triumph over farmiliar foe, Mexico in Qatar. He was the warrior that rescued Argentina from the brink of getting out of the world cup to a contender for a last 16 place at the ongoing 2022 FIFA World cup in far away Asia.

The Argentines were struggling against the El Tri of Mexico who tried to contain the influx of attacks by their opponent. Not only did they reduced Argentina chances but Messi, Angel Di Maria and Lautaro Martinez were all kept at bay in the first half. Despite these, Messi fashioned a way to ease the burden on his shoulders and set the atmosphere into a frenzy mood in the second half.
