Marco Verratti is the new player of Al-Arabi SC in Qatar. The Italian player leaves PSG after a long stay of nearly 11 years at the club.
Verratti's time in the French capital was marked by many successes, as he became one of the key players for the team and one who has been present since the club's restructuring.
With limited opportunities under Luis Enrique, the former Parisian decided to end his time in France and opt to spend his final years of his career in the Qatar Stars League.
During his time in Paris, the midfielder played 416 games and scored 11 goals. In terms of national titles, the Italian international won everything (30). Despite having a contract with Paris until June 2026, the Qatari team made a move for the player with this offer.
According to Marca, the deal was closed for approximately almost $50 million, where according to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, the Italian will earn $37 million per year on a two-year contract. Marco Verratti's last years in Ligue 1 were not the best due to injuries that kept him off the field for approximately two years. Now he will face a new challenge far from home.
