According to several reports in Spain, Kylian Mbappé has once again turned down PSG's contract renewal offer. According to journalist Ramon Álvarez, the 24-year-old frenchman reportedly declined the new offer on Wednesday, August 23rd. This updated contract included the possibility of an exit clause in 2025 and an extension of the agreement for additional years. However, this doesn't necessarily indicate that Mbappé will leave PSG during this transfer window.

During a press conference before the match between Real Madrid and Celta de Vigo, the manager of the “merengues” team, Carlo Ancelotti, responded that they won't make any more signings in this transfer window. The Italian strategist completely ruled out any last-minute reinforcements with less than a week left before the transfer window closes in Spain. As a result, the chances of seeing Kylian Mbappé at Real Madrid this season are once again diminished.

These were the words of Ancelotti: "I believe our squad is finalized, and everyone is focused on this season. Minds can change, but I'm not afraid of that," disclosed the Italian, who went trophyless in terms of titles last season.

Mbappé has already received warnings from Paris Saint-Germain's president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi. The forward for the French National Team was notably absent from the roster of players called for the preseason matches in Japan on Saturday, July 22nd. However, following Neymar's departure to Al-Hilal, Mbappé resumed training and played in the second match of Ligue1, even scoring a penalty goal.

What did the PSG president, Al-Khelaifi, comment about this?

Al-Khelaifi's intention is to ensure that Mbappé doesn't leave on a free transfer, and he'll be aiming to either sell him or extend his contract. He made this clear a few weeks ago with the following statements: "Our position on Mbappé is very clear. We do not want him to leave for free in June 2024, that's impossible. Kylian wants to stay, we want him to stay here, but Mbappé has to sign a new contract to remain here. We do not want to lose the best player in the world for free, that's impossible. You can consider it impossible. Mbappé himself has said he won't leave for free. If he changed his mind, it's not my fault."
