The United States National Team fell in a friendly match against Germany in view of the Copa América 2024, as well as the 2026 World Cup. The American team has been one of the teams with a fairly important generation and hopes to have an extremely memorable performance in the next World Cup. To do this, Berhalter's team is beginning to have quality friendlies to prepare in the best possible way.
The Americans came out with power from the start of the match, during the first minutes both teams tried to hurt each other, although the best opportunities appeared on the Stars and Stripes side. Pulisic, very early, at minute 3', scored a goal that ended up being disallowed since he was in an offside position. The Germans were not going to sit idly by, and at 10', Pascal Gross hit a tremendous shot that ended up hitting the post.
Christian Pulisic continues to be the different man in the United States National Team and this Saturday, October 14, he demonstrated it again by opening the scoring against his counterpart from Germany with a great goal that left goalkeeper Marc André ter Stegen with no chance. The player spoke after the game and had an important reflection on what happened and what this type of game means for the growth of the United States team.
It hurts, we had a good start to the game. We hurt them in many moments. We played well, but they surpassed us. These are games that we want to start finding ways to win. My goal? It was a great goal, the one that was disallowed I don't know if it was in a disallowed position, but the reality is that it doesn't matter that much, what we wanted was to win. We have a new opportunity against Ghana in the coming days and we want to start finding our best version and be able to win the games heading into the next competitions.
