Columbus, OH – Colombian striker Juan Camilo ‘Cucho’ Hernández has continued his stellar form in Major League Soccer, breaking a longstanding scoring record ahead of joining the Colombian national team for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

Hernández, playing for the Columbus Crew, netted a brace in a 3-2 victory over the Philadelphia Union, propelling his team to a new franchise record of 60 points in the regular season. More importantly, his two goals took his season tally to 19, surpassing Stern John’s 1998 record for the most goal contributions in a single MLS season.
