The importance of the end of the regular season in the USL Championship for MLS teams.

The USL championship kicks off the playoffs and there are many players who could play in MLS this season.

The USL Championship is in the playoff zone and many teams were left out of this phase. Various MLS teams will take advantage of the players so they can play for the remainder of the MLS season. Players in the USL Championship could be chosen by the MLS minimum contracts.

DC United is one of the teams that would take advantage of the end of the regular phase of the USL Championship and would sign for the MLS minimum three players from Loudoun United: goalkeeper Simon Lefebvre, forward Kairou Ampustapha and midfielder Massimo Ferrin.

Any team wishing to sign a USL Championship player must do so under the lowest MLS contract. They must also comply with the 14-day mandatory quarantine for not being in the MLS health bubble. DC United has already announced that it will make use of this option; it only remains to wait for other teams to join DC United.

The season finale is always tough for all teams as they are playing for a playoff spot and arrive mentally and physically tired. This fatigue causes the players to get injured easier so the arrival of good young players could boost the level of the teams and give rest to the other players.
