After yesterday's match against the Vancouver Whitecaps, Carlos Vela's scoring streak at LAFC is on the rise. How many goals has he scored this season?
Carlos Vela scores hat-trick in less than 50 minutes in LAFC vs Colorado Rapids MLS 2022
In week 4 of the MLS, the Vancouver Whitecaps knew the power of the Mexican, who scored a goal in the 38th minute, with which the Los Angeles club had the advantage in the game.
In the current Major League Soccer 2022, Carlos Vela has scored 4 goals, and he has done it in only 4 weeks of the campaign, so it is more than evident that the player has a goal-scoring streak that is increasing in LAFC.
And it is worth reviewing when and to whom the Mexican has scored goals, to know how they have been, and the challenges he has had to face to be able to score these goals.
Thanks to his goals, his club is currently leading the Western Conference of Major League Soccer 2022.
Vela's debut could not have been better in this 2022 campaign, as in his first game the Mexican striker scored not one, not two goals, but three! With his hat-trick, he managed to put his club as a strong candidate for the MLS Cup.
In addition, Vela scored all 3 goals in that MLS Week 1 match, in less than 50 minutes, so not only his fans, but those of the entire league turned to watch him.
Although his first goal was a penalty kick, the other two goals were a display of his genius: in the second goal, in the 35th minute of that match, he received a deep pass and headed at full speed towards the opponent's goal.
But he was not alone, as Lalas Abubakar was behind him, trying to use his body to unbalance the Mexican striker, who did not even flinch, and managed to get in front of the rival goal, to shoot and make the score 2-0.
And his third goal in the 50th minute was undoubtedly the definitive demonstration of his greatness: Vela simply positioned himself outside the rival area, and with a precise right-footed shot, scored the best goal of Week 1 in MLS.
It took 2 weeks in MLS for Vela to score again, but it was worth the wait, as Vela's goal was another masterpiece from the Mexican striker.
With a pass from Kwadwo Opoku, Vela tried a first shot that was repelled by Thomas Hasal, but the Mexican did not give up and with a second acrobatic shot, he scored his fourth goal in MLS 2022.
Will we see more goals and exploits from Carlos Vela this season? Time will tell, but we all hope so.
