One of the main problems Mexico National Team has faced with Gerardo “Tata” Martino as their coach is the lack of opportunities young promising players have had, as the Argentinean coach is known for not liking to start youngsters, given their lack of experience.

He hasn’t given the chance to players like Julián Araujo or Johan Vásquez, who he called for the past FIFA match window but didn’t play a single minute in any of the three games although he’s one of the most successful defenders in Italy for the current season.

Not even Marcelo Flores has had more than 10 minutes on the pitch with Martino as El Tri coach. But there’s another player that could join Mexico National Team only if Martino leaves his position, something that might happen if El Tri doesn’t beat USMNT in March.

 

Who can arrive in El Tri if Martino leaves?

Richard Ledezma decided to play for USMNT after realizing the few opportunities he’d have with Mexico National Team, and although he’s done his process with US Soccer academy teams, he still is able to defend El Tri color if he wanted to, as he has yet to debut on an official match.
