In recent years, Hirving “Chucky” Lozano has become one of the best Mexican players, something that has earned him the right of playing in one of the top 5 leagues in the world, as he joined SSC Napoli in 2019 after his outstanding stint with PSV Eindhoven.

His good shape has helped him become one of Gerardo “Tata” Martino’s favorite players, as the only games he’s missed in recent years were either for suspension or for being injured, something that happened more than once during the CONCACAF Qualifiers.
His speed and facility of finding an open space make him a threat for any rival, which is why in CONCACAF the only way they had to stop him, given the limitations of most of the teams, was by hitting him, which often translated in injuries.
Those injuries have prevented him from having a protagonist role in Luciano Spalletti’s starting XI with the Azzurri and added to the economic problems that Napoli is going through, have opened the door for his departure once the season is over.
According to reports from sports journalist André Martín, Napoli gave him green light to start looking for a new team for the 2022-23 season after they wanted to retain him in the past few transfer windows, when bigger teams asked for him.
Now, Lozano has the chance of joining one of the biggest clubs in Europe, as he’s been linked in recent weeks to teams like Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and Atlético Madrid, although PSG has also showed interest in him in the past.
Lozano’s future looks closer to La Liga than ever before, a great place for him if he wants to improve his performances just months before the 2022 FIFA World Cup starts. For now, it seems like Atlético Madrid is the team that is betting harder for his services.
According to the Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sports, Napoli are asking for a sum around $44 million, although they could accept $40 million, which is what they paid to PSV when they acquired him three seasons ago.
He regretted playing for USMNT and now Gerardo Martino could have him in Mexico National Team
