Santi Gimenez scores his first goal and Feyenoord fans' were delighted

A few weeks have been enough for Santiago Giménez to debut as a scorer in great form with Feyernood. The Mexican striker scored his first goal in the Eredivisie during the match against FC Emmen, which ended in a very comprehensive victory for the local team.

This was only the third match in which the "Chaquito" participated since his arrival in the Netherlands a few weeks ago. The striker came on in the 63rd minute to replace Danilo and it took him about 20 minutes to put his name on the scoresheet.

Before his goal, the Feyernood fans chanted his name throughout the stadium. All in recognition of the player's performance. A player who could easily earn a place in Gerardo Martino's squad for Qatar 2022.

What was Santi Gimenez's goal like?

The striker was able to take advantage of a filtered pass through the middle of the field and after leaving his mark behind was one-on-one in front of goalkeeper Oelschlaegel. A left-footed shot was enough to put the ball in the back of the net.
