The Mexican National Team is in the eye of the hurricane as Tata Martino's team minimized Herrera's words and affirms that it is focused on the match against El Salvador.

In recent days, Tigres coach Miguel Herrera criticized Martino's work in recent days and even told the Argentinean that it would be best for him to "step aside" from El Tri.
And the Felinos' coach said this because of the health problems Martino is currently facing, which are preventing him from making the corresponding trips with the Mexican National Team.
In the press conference prior to the match against El Salvador, the coach of the Mexican National Team said that he had no comment on Herrera's statements.
More precisely, when a reporter asked the Argentinean tactician if he had an opinion about "Piojo" Herrera's comment, Martino answered, "no, none, no".
This dispute between coaches began to gain momentum last week after it became known that Martino would not be able to make the trip to Honduras with El Tri, so names began to be mentioned to replace him.
And this replacement would be made more because of the coach's health problems, than because of his effectiveness with the Mexican squad.
However, in an interview with Miguel Herrera, he stated that "if Tata is not in good health, he would step aside".
In the same press conference in which Martino was asked about the issue with Miguel Herrera, he was also asked about his health problem in his right eye, a subject about which "Tata" opened up.
"I have a problem in my right eye, two retinal detachments. In September and February, I had an operation. The procedure has a part in which a gas bubble is inserted in the eye so that the retina takes its usual place. As long as that bubble does not dissolve, I cannot board an airplane because of the pressure. That is why I played against the United States and could not go to Honduras", said Gerardo Martino.
As much as the press insisted to Martino about Miguel Herrera's statements, the coach said that he and his team are focused on the match against El Salvador.
"We have to face a very important match where we are playing for qualification, being almost qualified does not mean being qualified, so we have at our disposal, except for Héctor Herrera who was disqualified because he was suspended for this last match, the rest of the 28 players are available to be considered", said the coach.
So far, the Mexican National Soccer Team is in third place in the CONCACAF World Cup Qualifiers, and if it wins today against El Salvador at the Azteca Stadium, it will secure its direct ticket to the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
And if they are defeated by the Salvadorans, El Tri can still hope to qualify for the re-qualification match, through which they will face a team from the Oceania Football Confederation, to fight for a ticket to the World Cup.
