Lionel Messi is one of the best soccer players in history, from his beginnings with FC Barcelona to winning Copa América with Argentina National Team. He knows what he’s talking about when asked about soccer, as he breathes, dreams, sweats soccer.
Juan Carlos Osorio is ready to return to Mexico National Team
Messi has coincided two times with Gerardo “Tata” Martino in his professional life. The first one was with FC Barcelona, where “Tata” was coach for the 2013-14 season. He couldn’t win La Liga and was eliminated on quarterfinals from Champions League, which is why he quit after the season ended.
The second time Messi and Martino found each other was right after Martino resigned from Barcelona, as he was named Argentina National Team coach three months later. But after two years coaching La Albiceleste without much success, Martino was separated from his position.
Messi has said in the past that Martino has a problem communicating with the players, as he doesn’t care to develop good relationships with them. That becomes evident with the recent results of El Tri, as the team don’t seem to be synchronized and try to rely on individualities rather than playing as a team.
