Marcelo Flores currently is on of the most, if not the most, exciting Mexican players in Europe. Not only at just 18 years old he already became a starter with Arsenal U-23 squad, but he also usually trains with the senior team and already debuted with Mexico National Team.

And after today’s performance, where he scored a brace in the U-23 match against AFC Bournemouth in his first apparition on the starting XI, not only is he close to debuting with Mikel Arteta’s squad in Premier League, but his call to an official Mexico National Team match seems to be around the corner.
But even though Gerardo “Tata” Martino already called him for a friendly match against Chile last December, he’s not yet sold on his addition to the regular players he calls to El Tri, as it seems he wants to rely on more experienced player rather than give the youngsters a chance.

The 18-year-old Mexican Canadian offensive midfielder is under contract with Arsenal until 2023, with a two-year optional extension if Arsenal decides to take it. His current market value is set at $6.8 million, although if he keeps performing like he’s doing, it will start incrementing exponentially.
