The Mexican national team is preparing for the World Cup and the final list of called-up players is getting closer and closer. However, now instead of selecting the best players, Gerardo Martino has dedicated himself to discarding element by element in order to have a blacklist of players who cannot be used for Qatar 2022.

Journalist Rubén Rodríguez of Fox Sports was the one who exposed the case and pointed out the existence of such a list with players banned from the Mexican national team. It turns out that such vetoes are not 100% aligned with the sporting aspect, there are some names discarded due to the coach's discomfort or commercial issues.

Apparently, Televisa has the last word regarding the call-up of different Mexican players and that is why they would already have everything ready for the next World Cup, no matter what happens in the next few months.

Who make up the black list of El Tri?

There are around 10 players who are totally ruled out for the World Cup. On Gerardo Martino's side, Carlos Vela, Javier Hernández and Carlos Salcedo are the ones who will not be in the squad. For Televisa, Alan Mozo, Kevin Álvarez, Eduardo Aguirre, Luis Malagón and Aldo Rocha.
