In El Salvador, the battle is considered lost, in the United States not yet, but 18-year-old Nathan Ordaz, according to sources close to the Central American country, has chosen to play for Mexico and is waiting for a call to play in the CONCACAF U-20 Tournament.
He’s one of the best Liga MX players but Martino erased him for Mexico National Team
Nathan Ordaz is 18 years old and plays for Carlos Vela's Los Angeles FC affiliate. He has triple nationality because he was born in the United States, his father is Mexican and his mother is originally from El Salvador.
The three countries have kept track of the striker. The United States called him to join its U-20 team, El Salvador invited him to train with the first team and Mexico has had him in camps held at the High-Performance Center.
The 1.80-meter player plays in the attack and plays as a winger. In El Salvador he was considered one of their "jewels", but at the beginning of the week, he communicated with the Salvadoran national team, to announce that he would go with Mexico U-20.
Marco Garcés, a former Pachuca manager, was responsible for his signing with Los Angeles FC, the player is a dribbler and his best profile is left-footed.
"I especially want to thank my dad who has always pushed me, even when I didn't want to be pushed, and helped me improve my game enough to reach this level," Nathan Ordaz wrote on social media after signing his contract with LAFC three weeks ago.
Nathan Ordaz now awaits a call-up to the Mexican U-20 National Team, which in the summer will play in the Concacaf tournament for the category, which gives a pass to the World Cup in Indonesia and qualification to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Declares he will represent the Mexican national team and now Tata Martino calls him immediately
