Although Gerardo “Tata” Martino will be Mexico National Team coach at least until the next FIFA match window is over, it’s true that he hasn’t convinced as El Tri seems far from the performances needed to reach the quarterfinals of the World Cup.
His team is offering him a Ferrari to resign and arrive in El Tri
Part of the problems El Tri currently faces is the generational gap that Martino has created, as he recently started calling some young players, but most of the starting XI is playing their last few years and don’t have the speed or reflexes needed to face the way soccer is played today.
That’s why people think Martino’s system is outdated and FMF needs to change coaches before Qatar 2022. Jaime Lozano has agreed to join El Tri and replace Martino, but he’s asking to have complete freedom to build his roster as he pleases.
Lozano knows that Guillermo Ochoa’s best moments have already passed and that he keeps appearing in El Tri’s starting XI because Televisa and other sponsors profit from his image, as he’s one of the most recognizable players. In his place, he’ll call Carlos Salcedo, who has a bright future as El Tri goalkeeper.
FMF is not happy with Martino and they already sent him a message
