The outlook for the Mexican national team is not very encouraging after FIFA learned that Alejandro Zendejas had been called up, even though he had not completely resigned from the U.S. team. This shows that the Mexican Federation does not respect processes and only looks after its own interests.

As reported by the portal MedioTiempo, the Club America player was called up to the Mexican national team for some friendlies, but he had not yet resigned from his native team. He did not sign a document where he signed his willingness to renounce this right.

In that sense, the player represented El Tri on two occasions during international friendlies. Beyond a possible sanction to the player, the national team could be directly affected, just before the World Cup.

What will be the sanction that Mexico may receive?

The only good thing about this alleged improper alignment was that they corresponded to friendly matches. In any case, if an offense against El Tri is determined, the sanction will be to subtract points at the beginning of a CONCACAF tournament. Situation to be evaluated by FIFA.
