So far, five Liga MX clubs are interested in acquiring him during the summer transfer window: Club América, Chivas, Cruz Azul, CF Monterrey and Tigres. His decision to play in Liga MX for the first time in his career will be boosted by the proximity to Gerardo Martino and the chance of returning to El Tri.

But if “Tata” Martino doesn’t finish the 2022 cycle as El Tri coach, FMF already has another option to replace the Argentinian coach in the Aztecs dugout, someone that will call Carlos Vela at the first chance he has, as he knows Vela is one of the most talented players Mexico has.
