Chivas started Clausura 2022 showing a completely different face from what they got us used to during last semester, after defeating 3-0 a Mazatlán team that didn’t know how to stop Chivas players from adding to the score.

The visitors never felt comfortable in Estadio Akron’s pitch, as Chivas dominated from the start, and El Rebaño Sagrado only needed five minutes to seal the deal. One of the most impressive plays was the one in which Chivas second goal arrived.
Eduardo “Lalo” Torres scored his first goal in Liga MX, Mexico’s top tier division. The 21-year-old midfielder recovered the ball just outside the penalty area after a couple of rebounds. He shoot a lob over the defenders heads that fell right into the goal passing under the crossboard.

Born in Guadalajara, Chivas’ midfielder homegrown debut with the team during Apertura 2020 playing four games as a substitute but becoming a regular during Liguilla. After getting eliminated, the 21-year-old got used to be part of the starting XI as he played 15 games in Clausura 2021 and other 15 in Apertura 2021. He’s been able to assist on two occasions and finally scored his first goal.
