The crisis in which Club América is going through is getting bigger, as now they lost against CF Monterrey, club that was at the bottom of the table alongside Las Águilas, although they now left the Azulcremas as the worst team of Clausura 2022.

Nicolás Larcamón is already negotiating with Club América to be their next coach

Monterrey had José Manuel Vucetich on their bench for the first time since 2013, as he was hired to replace Javier Aguirre, who failed to make the roster with the highest market value in Liga MX to be a contender in Liga MX and the FIFA Club World Cup, where they couldn’t reach the semifinals.

Instead, Club América decided to promote Fernando “Tano” Ortíz as interim coach, who was coaching the U-20 team, and it seems that he’ll be the coach that ends Clausura 2022 in Las Águilas’ dugout, when América will decide who will be the new coach.

Although América scored first, with Álvaro Fidalgo’s first goal of the season, Monterrey reacted quickly and managed to score the equalizer just four minutes later, in a horrible mistake made by Jordan Silva, who hasn’t given a single reason to be considered in the starting XI of América.

For the second half, the game had just resume when Rogelio Funes Mori finally scored again, scoring the 2-1 that became the final score. It’s clear that Jordan Silva doesn’t have the level required to play with América, but along him, other players will be having their last tournament in Las Águilas roster.

Who are the other players that don’t convince América?

According to reports, Emilio Azcárraga realized that along Jordan Silva, there’s two other players that haven’t been up to the standards established in América, which is why he would try to sell them over the summer.

Although Azcárraga is waiting until he has a new chairman to replace Santiago Baños, who will be the one taking the final decisions over the roster, Jorge Sánchez is one of those players that will leave El Nido at the end of the season.

Mauro Lainez was already erased from the senior squad

The last player that Azcárraga considers has to leave América is Mauro Lainez, and it seems that Fernando Ortíz agrees with him, as he decided to erase him from the roster that travelled to Monterrey and instead, he played with the U-20 squad, which shows the lack of confidence they have in the oldest of the Lainez brothers.
