Marcelo Michel Leaño will return to Chivas despite the bad results he delivered when coached the Rebaño Sagrado. Right now, Chivas de Guadalajara is happy, since the work of interim coach Ricardo Cadena has only brought good results with three consecutive wins that have the Rojiblancos in the playoffs, but this is not enough and they want to fight at the last moment to qualify directly to the quarterfinals and they will try to do so in the last Liga MX matchweek against Necaxa.

However, there is one piece of news that will surely not go down very well with the Rebaño Sagrado, and that is that Marcelo Leaño, who served as a coach for more than 20 matches with results that almost left the team out of any possibility of qualification, is expected to return to the institution in the next few hours.

After he was dismissed from his position as a head coach more than a week ago, there was speculation that he would return in the next few days with a managerial position, as was the case before he replaced Víctor Manuel Vucetich, so he will soon meet with owner Amaury Vergara to find out what his new duties will be within the company's organizational structure.

What will be Marcelo Leaño's position?

According to El Universal, Chivas is already preparing for the return of the "Ajedrecista" after a few days of vacation, where he is expected to take charge of the youth teams again with a position named "player development", although it should be remembered that in the previous tournament practically all the lower categories did very poorly to the extent that they did not qualify for the Liguilla, the same as El Tapatío in the Expansion League.

"Marcelo Leaño is already preparing his return to Chivas. Following his departure from the head coach position, the former club director has scheduled a meeting with Amaury Vergara, the club's owner, to agree on his return to Chivas, most likely as the person in charge of player development", was part of the article published by the aforementioned media outlet.
