Daniel “Ruso” Brailovsky is one of the players that will forever be tied to a single team in Liga MX, as he was essential for the triple Championship Club América achieved during the 80s, although his stay in Las Águilas wasn’t that long -he arrived in 1982 and left in 1985-.

After he retired, he returned to Club América as coach from 2007 to 2008, where he couldn’t help Las Águilas to win Liga MX but was part of the runner up team of Copa Sudamericana in 2007, in a final that was full of inconsistencies, but ultimately Arsenal FC won on by a 4-4 overall score.
But now, things haven’t worked out for Club América since Santiago Baños arrival in Coapa as chairman of Las Águilas, which happened over three years ago. For Clausura 2022, Baños couldn’t close most of the deals Santiago Solari needed to strengthen the roster.
People have been asking for Santiago Baños removal for a while, and even Televisa analysts have had to apologize for criticizing him, but the truth is he hasn’t done a great job. “El Ruso” resigned as a TV analyst last week and given the familiarity he has with the club it opens the door for his arrival in case Baños is destitute.
After three rounds, this is how Liga MX standings look like
